The North Blue is commonly known as the most treacherous of the Blues. The infestation of Sea Kings and other exotic wildlife has made travel hard without getting attacked or at worst shipwrecked. However due to this hostile environment the nations that lay further in are powerful and grand, armed to the teeth with guns and riches to combat the more treacherous parts of the ocean, making it a hotspot for more experienced adventurers and thrill seekers alike.

The East Blue is perhaps the most popular of the Blues. Due to its tight Marine grip crime is low on these seas, making it a safe haven for the experienced fighter wanting to take a break from their travels or the beginning spot for a fresh face wanting to step into the unknown. The islands are fairly friendly and populated heavily, leaving little to explore that hasn't already been discovered in exchange for relative safety from the rest of the world.

The South Blue is the wild west of the Blues. Where as the East Blue is protected by the World Government the South Blue is governed by no one, leaving it as the prime location for pirates and independents to roam free without care. There have been attempts by the government to take ahold of the South Blue, but all of them so far have ended in failure. Anything you can imagine is allowed to take place here and does so without care, mostly on the illegal side. Only the strong survive here, and only the strong enter the more deep and darker parts of its ocean.

The West Blue is the least traveled of the Blues. To some it is a sea of dead memories and destroyed cultures. To others, it is a world of hidden treasure and vast knowledge. The West Blue is home to some of the oldest civilizations known yet, some completely destroyed by either pillages or Buster Calls, the rest in reasonable shape and hidden from view. Although some civilizations still live in this Blue they are rather secluded and xenophobic, untrusting of new faces and even more untrusting of the government, making it hard to travel safely. Despite the obstacles there are a vast amount of new islands and treasures yet to be discovered. But be weary as everyone else has the same intentions...

"Paradise" is the name given to the first half of the Grand Line. Although it has a seemingly cheerful name only the uninformed are foolish enough to believe it is so. It is only called such because the second half of the Grand Line so bad that compared to it the first is nothing but a cake walk. Paradise is the first true step up compared to the Blues. With its unpredictable weather and confusing routes it's almost impossible to navigate unless you're fully prepared, and even then most don't make it to the end. Only the cream of the crop make it through to the real challenge on the other side.

The New World is a place few end up and even fewer survive. Only one crew has ever fully explored this sea, that being Gol D. Roger the pirate king himself, and where his great treasure currently resides. The New World is the second half of the Grand Line and is often described as a hellish ocean where one is capable of losing everything. Where as Paradise has harsh weather and rough seas the New World completely flips it onto its head, having conditions that defy logic and physics itself. Anything can happen here and anyone is capable of falling to the bottom of the deep, dark abyss,
